TEXT:  The Platform House situates both interior and exterior spaces of the home on a large, open platform. The platform is an abstraction and reinterpretation of the surrounding landscape, characterized by a reflecting pool, shellcrete, and is planted with mangroves that seamlessly merges with the bay. In this way, the house is an extension of the entire landscape beyond. Inhabitants live on the scale of the landscape, rather than just at the scale of the home.
